  • Bill Simpson

    President

    Bill has worked with retailers, distributors and manufacturers to maximize supply chain performance for over 30 years. He founded SCS in 1995 to provide no-nonsense consulting to clients across North America. Bill specializes in forecasting, logistics and project management.

    Bill began his career at Sears Canada in 1975 and worked in various supply chain positions including buying, inventory planning and logistics over 20 years. Since 1995, he and SCS have provided consulting services to many consumer goods companies.

    Bill is a member of SCL Canada and the Brampton Board of Trade. He Chairs the Occupational Standards Committee of the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council and volunteers for the Mentoring Partnership and Microskills agencies.

  • Rick Green

    , B.Sc.

    Vice President

    Rick specializes in directing large, complex projects in the industrial sector. He has worked on relocation, real estate selection, 3PL arrangements, and warehousing projects for over 30 years.

    Rick began his career in 1973 with American Hospital Supply Inc, and subsequently with Safety Supply Canada, the largest distributor of safety equipment in the world. Rick began his consulting career in 1989 and has worked with a wide variety of large consumer goods companies in diverse sectors.

    Rick is a graduate (B.Sc.) of Concordia University in Montreal, a member of the Mississauga Board of Trade, a member of the Association of Independent Consultants, and a volunteer with The Mentoring Partnership and Microskills agencies.

  • Dale Fisher

    , PMP

    Director

    Dale specializes in information technology solutions. He has over 27 years of business experience in general management positions, including executive roles in information management and project management. Dale has worked extensively with warehouse management, transportation management, and order management solutions with numerous consumer goods distributors, retailers, and 3PL organizations.

    Dale founded Radius Information System in 1992, and served as President of the firm until it was acquired in 2001. In 2003, Dale founded CIO Resolve Inc., a firm dedicated to serving organizations with project leadership and with the integration of business solutions. He has also worked for several leading consumer goods companies.

    Dale’s academic background is business, with a computer science major. He holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) designation.

  • Vince Canonico

    Senior Consultant

    Vince helps retail companies achieve superior logistics performance. He has specialized capabilities within logistics network design, planning and optimization for which he has developed an effective fact-driven process.

    Vince acquired retail operations experience during the 80’s before working as an engineer at both a construction management consulting firm and a global manufacturing firm. In 1995, Vince joined a leading Canadian consulting firm where he delivered projects relating to supply chain design & optimization, facility layout design, activity-based costing analysis, WMS selection/implementation, and transportation optimization.

    Vince holds an M.B.A. and Bachelor of Engineering Degree from McGill University.

  • Bard Critoph

    Senior Consultant

    Bard is a supply chain professional with over 30 years of industry and consulting experience. Bard specializes in warehouse design, facility start-ups, distribution network optimization, supply chain strategy, process improvement and project management.

    Formerly with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Giffels Associates, Bard has worked with food distributors, consumer packaged goods manufacturers & distributors, automotive suppliers, 3PLs, & crown corporations, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

    Bard holds a B.E.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

  • Karl Mitchell

    , P.Eng.

    Senior Consultant

    Karl has been in the supply chain industry for 25 years. He has been the designer, logistics consultant and project manager for a number of warehousing and supply chain logistics projects including strategic and feasibility studies, facility layouts, equipment selection, operating procedures definition, WMS implementation and transition planning.

    His specialization is facility concept design and implementation of integrated material handling systems.

    Karl began his career in 1977 as a facility manager for Kimberly Clark with responsibilities for capital equipment expenditures and capital improvements in a large paper converting mill. In 1981, he became a Plant Engineer for Diversey Wyandotte and handled capital projects and maintenance in its specialty chemical manufacturing plant. Since 1986, he has provided consulting services to companies in various industries.

    Karl is a graduate (1977) from the University of Waterloo (B.A.Sc.) and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.) and is a current Holder of a Certificate of Authorization to practice engineering in the Province of Ontario. He is a past President of the Canadian Materials Handling Society and has been active with the Association of Professional Material Handling Consultants (APMHC).

  • Steffen Herrnsdorf

    Senior Consultant

    Steffen is a supply chain professional with over 35 years of industry experience including 12 years with the internal consulting department of an international 3PL. Steffen’s career has focused on the development and implementation of supply chain solutions for the operations of many major retailers and packaged goods providers in North America.

    Steffen began his career in 1973 as a Distribution Centre Industrial Engineer with Miracle Food Mart. He progressed to VP Distribution for MFM and subsequently for another major Canadian grocery retailer before moving into a senior Operations Development role with a leading 3PL. He has successfully completed many projects involving the development and implementation of supply chain solutions for the operations of many major retailers and packaged goods providers in North America.

    Steffen is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A.Sc., Industrial Engineering, 1973) and is a Professional Engineer (Ontario).

  • Sam Lampropoulos

    , P. Eng., MBA

    Senior Consultant

    Sam specializes in implementing distribution centre solutions that enable clients to reduce costs and increase productivity through layout design, work measurement and process re-engineering. He has over 15 years of experience as a manager and as a consultant working with major retail companies.

    Sam began his career with Tibbett & Britten Group in its Operations Development team in 1994. Subsequently, he was employed by several large Canadian retailers holding various engineering, project management, and operational positions. He has, for several years, been providing consulting services focusing on operational and engineering improvements.

    Sam holds a B.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He has also served as the Logistics/Supply Chain Management Guide for About.com (www.logistics.about.com). He is a Toronto Chapter Board member of SCL Canada and a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Sam also teaches logistics / supply chain management & operations management courses for George Brown College, Ryerson University & the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC).

  • Sabra Stephens

    Senior Consultant

    Sabra is a Supply Chain Professional with over 35 years of industry and consulting experience. Sabra’s expertise focuses on logistics optimization, strategic supply chain planning, and technology. She has worked across several industry sectors including 3PL, consumer products, service industry, manufacturing and consulting.

    Prior to joining the Supply Chain Systems, Sabra held several senior positions including VP of Logistics & Supply Chain Services at The Northwest Company, VP of Global Supply Chain for McCain Foods International, and Director of Supply Chain Services for Tibbett & Britten Group, North America.

    Sabra holds an MBA from the University of Toronto, as well as designations from the Total Quality Control Management Development Program, CAPIC and CPIM.

    Sabra is a licensed Pilot. She is also an active member of Women in Aviation and the 99’s.

  • Sunil Sheoran

    Senior Consultant

    Sunil is a seasoned supply chain consultant. He specializes in supply chain strategy, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand management, supply chain talent development and change management. He is an experienced facilitator & trainer across supply chain functions.

    His career started with the leading consulting organizations such as BearingPoint and Accenture. He has implemented large scale business transformation programs as well as delivered focused high value supply chain improvement projects across multiple industries.

    Sunil graduated with a M.Sc. Industrial Engineering (Master’s thesis in Supply Chain) from The University in Toledo. He is APICS CPIM certified, holds a patent for a supply chain exchange solution designed for GE GXS, and has authored multiple thought leadership articles.

  • Don Dougan

    Senior Consultant

    Don has 25 years of experience related to transportation management. He specializes in sustainable service improvements, performance optimization, and meeting safety & compliance regulations.

    While attending university, Don worked as a driver for UPS. He began his formal career in 1987 and has advanced through progressive management roles at firms such as Canpar, G4S, Gurza, Purolator, Loomis, and Ryder.

    Don is a graduate of the University of Toronto. He volunteers at the Sheridan College Mentoring Program for new Canadians helping immigrants find jobs in Supply Chain and Logistics. He also helps high school students with career choices in the Halton Industry and Education Council – Men as Career Coaches Program.
